CSLB License #1033872
10,000 sq ft building had facade repairs under the San Francisco Facade Maintenance Program across eight elevations, including brick masonry reconstruction, ornamental metal restoration, and complete exterior painting to restore the building envelope.
Project Duration: 4 Months
Key challenges overcome:
- Structural Masonry Repair: Rebuilt approximately 220 sq ft of bulging brick masonry after discovering corrosion of the supporting steel I-beam, working under the Engineer of Record to clean, treat, and reconstruct the affected wall.
- Ornamental Restoration: Removed and replaced approximately 230 linear feet of severely corroded decorative metal cornices and ornamental features, restoring the building’s architectural character.
- Lead-Safe Practices: Completed all demolition, masonry, and painting activities under full EPA RRP compliance, including containment and proper waste disposal.
- Construction Logistics: Completed all work from within the property line using supported scaffolding despite the prominent corner location, avoiding the need for neighboring property access.
